First, you need to make it VERY clear what you are comfortable or able to work on. However, for anyone considering Handy, there are a few things you should know. I had positive experiences with near all (i'll get to the bad in a bit) clients, and many were very outgoing and understanding. I was able to earn some money to put towards school while not spending too much time at work. For the most part, my experience has been a positive one. Being able to choose jobs and work when you wanted to sounds awesome. I am not an expert, but through applying for handy, was given permission to work on the platform through their vetting process. While I am a college student, I am also rather handy, as I have run a landscaping company for three years and worked on furniture and outdoor patio equipment jobs before as well. As a college student seeking part time employment over winter break, this seemed to fit the bill for my needs. So this is a very honest review for my time with handy.
